Everyone has moments in their life.
Some moments are spectacular. Some are downright dreadful.
Once in a while, we incur a moment so amazing, that it sticks with us forever.
It’s a moment so impactful and meaningful, that we will tell its story any opportunity we come across.
I’ve had quite a few great moments in my life, with quite a few haunting ones as well.
As a death care professional, I have seen and heard it all.
To hammer my point home; I’ve directed funerals for 100-year-old people down to stillborn babies.
I have sat with grieving families who have hugged me and some who have threatened me.
My point is that life is as momentous as we make it out to be.
Most of us have lost someone in our lives who meant something to us.
When we look back on their life, we look back at moments.
Moments that we spent with them. We think back on how they made us feel. What we did and the time we had with said loved one.

- My daughter being born (a week ago today).
- Marrying my best friend and lover, my wife.
- Attending the Milwaukee Bucks Game 6 NBA Championship.
- Graduating college with an Associate’s Degree in Funeral Service.
- Winning my first live poker tournament.
These 5 are the moments that have defined who I am and what I am about.
My family has become my first priority in the past year and deserves my top 2 spots. Hubby and Daddy love you both, forever.
The other moments are also shared with family, but mark occasions that took years in the making.
